Overview

Canto Pacifico is a small group of proposed homes located in Todos Santos, B.C.S., approximately one hour north of Cabo San Lucas and one hour southeast of La Paz. The property is situated a couple of miles north of town above an arroyo with views of the Pacific to the West and the Sierra Laguna Mountains to the East. It is minutes from world class surf breaks and gorgeous white sand beaches.

The project will incorporate many of the elements of contemporary Mexican architecture but will also include details suggestive of more traditional Mexican designs. The proposed houses will have a generous amount of space devoted to terraces and breezeways and wide interior doors that open onto the outdoor spaces easily. Special attention will be given to the play of light and shadow through the use of screens, sombras, latticework and recessed openings. Along with the other important elements of space, shape, materials, sequences and intervals, our goal is to have each house complement the unique desert landscape of Baja California Sur.
